Viet Nam earned US$1.2 billion from the export of nearly 145,500 tonnes
of pepper in the first nine months of the year, a year-on-year increase
of 31.5 per cent in volume and 13.1 per cent in value.
The pepper industry is hoping to attain an annual export value of US$1
billion within the next few years, buoyed by increasing global demand
for the staple.
